when shooting they lip sync to music so when you put it into editing you just start the clip of the singer singing when that part of the song is playing
How do you sync the sound and the video together when shooting so that the singer’s lips are moving correctly? 🙂

export it first just as a reference. then bring it back into ae, apply ur paint to that layer, then copy and paste it to the black solid
@thevfxbro As I double click the layer, it brings up the source clip in the composition window though.

Can you do this if the clip is Twixtored?
If you wanted to do the background effect you could always have your subject stand in front of a wall and key out the wall’s color. You’d have to be careful that the color isn’t too close to the skin/clothing color of your subject, but it is a cost-free solution!

hey i was wondering how you did the effect at 1:41 and around 1:55…i would like to do sum thing similar to this for my animation video but i don’t know exactly how to go about doing this, i have worked with after effects a little bit but i don’t know really what anything is. if you could help me out with this effect that would be great thanks!…..i really like the videos you make too!

i got a screen screen for 3 pound at a fabric store (secret is its just a green piece of cloth) then i just used some camping lights we had, works like a charm
