   I have the same problem as Louis and FunkMan53. I add the photo, but the image does not play in the timeline. I have had success before, so I don’t know what’s going on.

   I have the same problem! I see the 0:04 stills in my timeline but only a black output screen.Have you found a solution?

   Hi. nice video. Wheneven i add a photo to a video,imovie freezes the frame of the video playing  instead of showing me the photo added. what am i doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

   Dorian, you’d have to use keyframes. Those are in Adobe After Effects
